Ayoka,’ which is used as a greeting in the Ivory Coast, is a fitting welcome to this new Frederick business! Ayoka African Cuisine celebrated the official opening of its doors today at 1100 W Patrick Street, Suite M. While not technically related, the duo behind the new restaurant have been like sisters since they met 10 years ago in the United States. One loves to cook, and the other loves to eat – they say they were the perfect fit! The pair are delighted for the opportunity to now bring their carefully crafted recipes to the Frederick community and allow others to enjoy authentic African flavors & dishes.
